I'm feel pretty comfortable about moving forward with the DAC plan. Harold is hip to the exploration, so hopefully we can get a good start this Jan-Feb.
This being your first time through this with us, I want to let you know I enjoy using the ears of all the Tunees and their systems as my own ears. Doing these references is like treasure to me, not only me doing my own here with several systems but also hearing the details within everyones experience. I'm always looking for something missing within my own listening that someone else may have.
For example, a couple of years ago Sonic was describing something within the crickets on Abbey Road that made me want to go find and did. Same with Hiend001 with "Hell Freezes Over", and a reminder from Drewster with "Wish You Were Here".
This is where I guess I am different from talking to folks on Stereophile, where they say "better". Better tells me nothing, but when you guys say specifics it gives me something tangable to look for within the stage. For me it's so much easier to look at a kick drum within the stage and hear a particular description of it (for example) and go after those particulars.
As we get you into the acoustical game more your going to see more into what we are talking about. Things will move from improvements to variables within those improvements. Your going to love the chapter that trilogy tuning brings. Hard to describe but once your inside the tune doing it, there will be many times we stop and marvel at places you will go within the stage, tempting the rest of us to the treasures awaiting.
A fun game where we are all winners, and first place is but for a moment as we study the sound of each other.
I'm glad we have your ears to enjoy, thanks!
