PostSubject: the small stuff   Fri Oct 21, 2016 4:44 am

Just discovered that putting a 2"x2"x3/4" square of birch plywood underneath my Tivoli Model One table radio sitting next to my bed makes for a much more pleasant late night listening experience than I've had with any other table radio since I started listening to FM programs as a kid!

PostSubject: I actually have two of those...   Thu Nov 03, 2016 4:26 pm

Hi Michael,
Yes, one in the bedroom and the other on a small writing desk near the dining table. Most table radios kind of spit and whine at you, but the Tivoli's have much better dynamics and range, though given their little plastic/rubber feet and sitting on the usual variety of furniture, can still drone and get muddy. Just plunking them on a bit of birch plywood yielded noticeably better sound!
